Back to our house. I bet you thought I forgot. Now remember, these are the "before" pictures. One day, there'll be "after" pictures. Just as soon as I start decorating.

Here, again, is the front foyer with my purple door, coat closet (aka school closet), and what's that other door? That's a DOOR to the kids' hallway. Yes, a door to a hall. I love it. I would have never thought to put a door there, but it's really handy. One day, I'll make some friends and have them over late at night and shut that door so the kids can sleep through it. One day.
Down the hall, you'll pass the chore charts. Those went up on about week 3 of being in our house. A mom's got to have her priorities. I added a few to everyone's. The big boys now have to unload all the dishes in the dishwasher. I never saw the point to that because they can't reach the cabinets and have to set them on the counter, but it really is very helpful. I highly recommend that chore.
Around the corner is Ben's and Jack's rooms. And MORE chore charts. Now, even Jack has his own.
Ben got the big boys' bunk beds. I just need to buy another mattress and get bedding for it. I'm thinking about quilting another one. I saw this idea on Pinterest that looks really easy. I think I could do 2 fairly quickly. They've got to match, right? His is the smallest of all the boys rooms, but it's still plenty big.

Jack's room. When we were packing and staying at my parents' house this summer, he seemed very unsettled, but as soon as we showed him our new house, he picked out his room and was back to his same old self.
Remember: these are the before pictures.
A little peek into Ben and Jack's bathroom. I can live with the yellow. It'll probably be years before I do anything to it. Maybe I should at least hang up a picture or two.
Zane and Caedon's room is actually a 2nd master. They have the biggest bedroom in the house (bigger than mine!). I ordered these bunk beds from Walmart.com. It took us 4 hours to build when it came, but I'm very happy with them. See? There's plenty of places for you to sleep when you come visit. ;)
They have their own bathroom and 2 closets. One is huge and has built-ins. I'm totally jealous of their closet space. When we first moved in, their bathroom and closet smelled awful - like pets. After a lot of work, I've got it smelling ok, but it still smelled funny to me. Today, I remembered there were still mothballs left at the top of Caedon's closet. Doh!

The first time I visited, Jack was waiting at the door for me.
"come see my room!"
