We had such a productive and wonderful weekend. We put up Z's big boy bed. Sounds like a small task, but we also torn down his and Ca's cribs, moved Z's crib into Ca' s room, set it back up, then did all the stuff for Z's new big boy bed. Z's crib was nicer, so we are giving away Ca's. That's why the move. I'm working on a throw pillow for Z's bed, but when I'm done, I'll show you pictures. Z did fine in his new bed. No problem at all. I had geared up for him to come out a million times or us to wake up in the morning to find ketchup and juice sprayed all over the house, but he did fine. I'm not sure that he realizes that he CAN get out of it. He still cries in the morning for me to come get him. Should I teach him, or just enjoy the fact that he doesn't know? Dh put in a new dishwasher - took him 4 hrs. There was a pipe with a leak so he had to go to Lowes twice to find a match. Then we had friends over for dinner. On Sunday, I cooked breakfast, lunch, AND dinner. I know, amazing. I've done that like 4 times. We worked nursery at church, then after naps, went to run errands and goofed around with the boys. We took the boys to Home Depot to "ride" the cars. (They have grocery carts with steering wheels attached). They were so cute. I wish I had had my camera.

Chris hung my curtain rods. I wish I had new curtains, but new ones are so expensive, these will have to do for now.

We bought these lamp shades at Lowes. You can't tell very well in the picture, but they have beige swirls on them. I like them a lot.

These are our old ones.

They were really falling apart.
Ok, so I know we didn't do as much as some people do after a full day of work with the stomach bug and 2 broken legs, but for us, this was a lot. Plus we had a 2 yr old and 9 mth old who wants to be held 24/7 to deal with while doing all our projects. Better get to work on that throw pillow.

Teach him how to get out of bed, go into the kitchen, get a bowl of ceral, turn on Sesame Street and let you sleep. (that's what I did)
I never thought of that, mom. Wait. Sesame Street doesn't come on until 9 and Iz doesn't like to watch tv. In fact, if Iz is up and other kids are up watching tv, he comes and wakes me up anyway. He says in a whisper, "wet."
That is a ton of stuff. I love the new shades.
He will find out soon enough. Make sure Mom doesn't teach him if you don't want him to know. Love the lamp shade.
