Everytime someone asks me if I've picked out a name for the baby, I feel like such a failure. I want to say, "No, and I haven't cleaned my bathrooms in 2 weeks, and my sink's full of dishes, and my kids don't listen, and I yelled at them this morning, and . . . " You get the idea. I know they are just making conversation/are interested, but this is really hard for me. Not just because it's boy #4 and I feel like I've used all the names I like, but I've always had a hard time naming things more or less other humans. It's so final. Today, my doctor told me that next appointment, we're picking a birthday. I almost had a panic attack on the car on the way home. Pick a birthday? Certainly not yet!! I'm not ready. The memories of past c-sections, the stress of hoping everything goes ok and that he is ok, being in the hospital, recovering, all came flooding back. Can't be that close! I am looking forward to having a new baby, but the reality of that first week/month is drawing near. I've never been one to mush over newborns - I honestly just assume skip that part. And to top it all off, no, I don't have a name. So Chris and I finally narrowed it down. I'm stressing over it and could use some opinions, but be gentle. I'm hormonal.
Jack: God is gracious. This is the one I thought of a long time ago. I like it, but it has become very popular, lately. And Jackson is popular, too - we've got 2 kids on our soccer team named Jackson.
Abram: high father. I don't really get the meaning of this name - I know Abraham is father of many (or something like that) and I get that, but high father? What's that? I like this name because it's unusual but not crazy unusual.
Reagan: little king. Isn't that a cute meaning especially for the baby of a family? This one just made it on our list recently. Like many other names, it's been stolen by the female sex, but I think considering it's meaning, it's masculine enough.
So our first/middle name combo list is as such:
Jack Abram
Abram Jeremiah: Jeremiah means exalted of the Lord
Abram Jedidiah: Ok, you old people, I don't think I've ever even watched an episode of Hillbillies. Jedidiah means beloved of the Lord.
Reagan Jack
Jack Reagan
Reagan Judah: I really like Judah. I'd use it as a first name, but I have a niece named Judith/Judi - too close. Means praise. Would be perfect if we got a boy band out of all these boys.
I guess that's it. I still listen for other names because I'm really not sold on any of these. Any thoughts?

I am guessing you are looking names with "A".
Abiel ..I love that name, but here is a list http://www.thinkbabynames.com/search/1/hebrew
Have fun
Enid
I really like Reagan. Reagan + your last name sounds good, too. I think Reagan Jack is a cute combo. It lets you use that name you've liked for awhile (Jack) without jumping on the Jack/Jackson bandwagon too much.
I have an Abram in class at school, and he's a sweet kid. It's nice too.
When are you due exactly?
Enid, I'm not stuck on an "A" name. I'm just trying to avoiding a first name that starts with the same letter as the other boys.
Seph - I'm due May 10, but will most like have a c-section the first week of May.
I was thinking Reagan as well. It is unique too.
I like Abram.
I love the names Reagan and Judah. I think our #4's are far enough apart in age and geographically that it wouldn't matter. You could even name him Judah Reagan L. sounds really nice. If it made you feel better, you could just call him by his middle name. Judi would feel honored.. like you named him after her. ha
By the way, you are an amazing woman. Don't let a few little details distract you from the larger juggling act you somehow manage on a normal basis.
Look at this I'm actually posting a coment on your blog.:) I like Abram Jack. Kristin
unrelated to the name debate... (i emailed you this, but i think you told me you don't check the email i have very regularly)
How difficult was it to make those crib sheets for Crystal? I want a couple of sheets made for Lylah's cradle in our room, but my sewing skills begin and end at sewing a (sorta) straight line. Do you think a super, super novice seamstress could do it?
Hey Wendy its Tammy.
By BFF's son is Abram, he is 5 and you are right it is uncommon but cute. Mary Beaver, from MOPS, has a son named Judah who is 1. My dad's name is Jack and that's Hayden's middle name. I think it is awesome personally!
You won't go wrong with anything you pick! Naming kids is definitely not easy.
Don't feel bad when you don't get stuff done. A woman's work is never done.
My vote for baby name is Quatro Judah. Praise God for the 4th boy!!! ;)
I think Jack Reagan flows so good, but I LOVE the name Reagan!!! What if you did what we did and call him by his middle name? Thanks for sharing! Love ya!
