Ok, my dh showed me this. It was too funny to pass up. There's no cussing, but it's not suitible for children or maybe even my dad, so make sure they're out of the room first.

Not Quite Bullets
I had a blog that I wanted to post, but my scanner won't scan it correctly. I taught Z how to draw a smiley face. He did one all by himself, completely with a nose (his idea). That's pretty good, right? Three year olds don't normally know how to draw a face, right? (don't answer that - just let me believe it). I wanted to scan it to show you, but my scanner wouldn't scan the whole picture. Wait, I know photoshop. I could scan it twice and merge the two together. Nah, too much work. You'll just have to believe me.
Yesterday was Lonnie's funeral. It was such a sweet funeral. A little bit of tear jerking, a little humor, a lot of God. Brandon gave the message and compared aspets of Lonnie to God. Not to make Lonnie seem perfect, but to share a bit of his life and a bit of the Good News. I saw a lot of old friends. Everyone looks so different. I kept seeing people and thinking, I wonder who that is. Then I'd look again, and say, oh wow, that's so-and-so. I wonder if people thought the same about me. Do I look THAT different? (say, no, b/c most of them looked old and fat) As a mom now, it was really hard seeing Lonnie's mom. I can't imagine what she must be going through. She thanked me for being his friend. That's how I feel towards my kids' friends - thankful. I so love it when other kids or even adults are sweet to my boys. She was so sweet and seemed to be handling things well.
If you made it through that last paragraph, I found a new website. Pandora.com. (thanks Jenny) You can type in a favorite music artist and it'll find a radio station that plays their music and similar music. And it's free. I've been listening to holiday jazz while I work. It's not even thanksgiving yet. Think I'll get tired of it? nah. I think I might even build a fire today.
Looks like I have a winning photo! I'm going to start working on my card this weekend. I'm so excited! Thanks for voting!

Yesterday, a dear friend of ours past away. He was young. Our age. That's not suppose to happen. Mommas aren't suppose to have to bury their children. He was born with heart problems and his health has never been that great. Yesterday afternoon, he layed down to take a nap and never woke up. So here are some thoughts about my friend, Lonnie.
- Such a sweet guy
- Always one to give you a hug.
- Simpsons. Loved Simpsons.
- Worshiper. I remember him playing the guitar for me so many times when I led worship. He loved it.
- Always had something humorous to say.
- Loved to have conversations. Could talk to you as long as you wanted.
- Loved to hear all about the juice in people's lives. Would get mad at me if I didn't let him in on a big secret about someone.
- Had a true heart for the Lord. Always seeking Him out to learn more about His goodness.
- 80's music trivia. Knew more about it than anyone his age should.
- Loved games. Anytime a group of us would get together, he suggested to play some board game.
- Had so many friends and people that loved him.
- Strong faith.
- Always in a good mood.
- Merciful
- Fun to be around
Lonnie, we were so blessed to have you in our lives. Gives Jesus and big hug and kiss for me. We'll see you again one day. You will truely be missed. Love, Wendy

Christmas Card Photo
Photos
Check out the Sprinkle of Grace Photography link on my sidebar to see pictures of our family. I tried posting my slideshow on my blog, but it just wasn't doing the pictures justice. For some reason, when you upload a slideshow, the quality of the pictures diminish. I'll post some of my favorites soon.

While my Biscuits are Cooking . . .
- I think I've decided what my gift to myself is going to be if this baby is a boy. I thought about highlights, a manicure, new oven, a drawing tablet that hooks up to the computer, but I think I've decided on new dishes. We have had the same dishes since we've been married (almost 10yrs) and we're both sick of them. Chris, too, is excited about this gift. He even suggested that we get it for Christmas if it turns out to be a girl. I told him, no, this is ONLY if it's a boy. I need to think that for now. I'm pretty excited about the idea. I still might look into that drawing tablet. I'm not much of an artist, so I might be better off just buying swirls and doodles instead of trying to draw them myself.
- Ca's new word for yesterday: "hot sauce" Only in Texas, would a child with that little vocabulary know the words hot sauce. He also said "Chris" and "babet" (blanket).
- Are you sitting? Our Christmas tree is up. Decorated and all. Now, that I've done it, I feel pretty silly, so someone, please, put your tree up early, too.
- I went through the boys summer/winter clothes this weekend. Pretty confusing as to what to do. Their sizes are pretty close to each other and they are both skinny, so next summer, they might be able to wear the same shorts (Ca could still wear 0-3mth shorts this last summer). Plus, since we don't know if I'm getting new dishes or not, so I'm still trying to keep my baby boy clothes organized.
