Don't Throw Away That Box!!

We've been looking for a house for a long time. We've been really picky and trying to find a good deal because we weren't in a huge hurry. Our house is just a little small for a family of 5, but we just deal with it. BUT . . . we found one! It's bigger, has 4 bedrooms, and we like the location (close to the park). It's older and needs some serious updating, but we can live in it and work on that over the next several years. There are a few things I don't love about it, but no deal breakers. We're waiting to have it inspected and we still have the week to back out, but if all goes well, we'll be moving. We're planning on keeping this house and renting it out. That's scary in and of itself. There's a lot to do to get this one ready and a lot to do to the new one, then there's the act of moving everything we own - all with a 3 year old, 2 year old, and newborn. This should be fun. I get pretty excited if I get a bathroom cleaned. So save up your boxes for us. We're going to need them.

Crafty

I've been doing crafts . . .

I saw this idea in a magazine. This was originally one of those boring $4 clocks. When I went to mom's, I intended on doing the craft myself, but one crying baby and two curious boys led mom to help with a lot of it.

Here's Ben's book framed. This was the book that the hospital gave me and I was so excited that it had his name on it. I'm not thrilled with the way it turned out. I wanted a white frame, but couldn't find one. I know. Spraypaint. But who has time for that? I think it's cute, but doesn't really match the style of his room. Oh well.

I have one more project up my sleeve, but I'll let that be a surprise. It's a little high up on the artistic qualification ladder, so I'm not going to brag about it until there's an actual final product.

Not too crafty, but we've discovered the swaddle, swing, and music makes little Ben very happy. He's a much easier baby now.

Benjabullets

  • He almost made it back up to his birthweight. Doc knows this time, L babies don't follow the charts.
  • Did you know that now they're recommending, maybe requiring (don't know which) kids stay rear facing in their carseats until they are two? I'm so glad we have a van so that B will at least be able to see his brothers sitting in the third row. Two!
  • He's given me a couple of nights of 4 hours of sleep in a row. Nice. He's also given me some with one hour. Not nice.
  • I'm thinking this is NOT going to be one of those easy babies. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?? Am I just so loving that they never want me to put them down? Yeah, that's it.
  • Last day of antibiotics. So far, no thrush. Thank the Lord.
  • He's a bit type A, cute as can be, two years old, likes to test his boundaries again and again and yet, again, very stubborn, cheeky as can be, too smart for his own good, and has 3 year old brother and a newborn brother. His mother is so screwed.
  • Tomorrow, I'm going shopping for an Easter outfit. I'm really excited. I wish I was going with a girlfriend rather than my dh. I love him, but he just stands there and stares at me when I shop. It's pretty annoying. I usually just tell him to go away and look at something else.
  • I told the doctor that I've become rather paranoid of kids that haven't been vaccinated. I'm scared they're going to give my kids something that they haven't gotten the vaccine for. Doc agreed and gave me a big speech on why we should vaccinate our kids. Really, I'm scared to put the baby in the nursery now.
  • I'm loving my nursing boobs. I might buy me some after I'm done having kids.
  • Desperate moments: B has slept in the swing a couple of nights.
  • Chris went back to work on Monday. Mom goes back Saturday. All meals welcome and greatly appreciated.
  • Keep scrolling. I put up new pictures.

Playing Around Pt.2

He was sleeping. My other two were occupied. The sun wasn't too bright. He was already in a white onsie. I decided I shouldn't miss the cpportunity . . . His auntie C made this quilt. She learned how to knit from youtube. I love the color.
His auntie J crocheted me a bag. I so wanted to use it as a diaper bag, but it's too small. It'll be a perfect size for this fall. I'll have to wait.

This last one is my favorite. I got this shot right before he woke up screaming.

Playing Around

I love taking pictures of my babies. I know I'm no pro, but it's fun just the same and photoshop helps me look better than I am. Z went with mom to take a nephew home who was here to help for a while, so that's why he's not in any of the pictures.
