Need a New Recipe?

For lunch today, I tried this recipe. I should note that I'm not one to follow a recipe exactly. I halved it and added some canned parmesan & Italian seasonings to the flour mixture and the marinara sauce. DELICIOUS!

Snow Day II

I'm still in shock that we had two snow days this winter! We had a great time playing today. Isn't a proper snow day without a cup of cocoa by the fire. By the way, Melissa, we have Josh's cup.Ben was not happy to be outside in the snow. I think it was a combination of hating shoes, the cold, and teething. We had some friends come over to play with us. Chris decided our snowman need a crazy hairstyle.

I think cuddling with this guy is my favorite part about the cold weather.

Should Change the Title of My Blog . . .

I've quit scrapbooking. I had another baby, started digital design for others, moved, started homeschooling two preschoolers, decorate, decorate, decorate, and quit scrapbooking. That's ok. I'll get back to it, eventually. I need something to do when I'm old, anyway. . .

I got new curtains & rods at a Big Lots 20% off your entire purchase sale! I already had one set & the rods are cheap so it wasn't that expensive.
Hobby Lobby was also having a sale. They had a bunch of stuff clearanced 80%!! I bought these 3 metal pieces only $5 each. I wanted color on the wall, so I bought scrapbooking paper to hang behind them.  I know. GENIUS! I had been looking for some cheap art with the colors in that room, but let's face it. That was never going to happen. They are hung above my piano. NOTE: This girl can use a drill. I also hung up the curtains. I didn't want to wait for dh to get to it.Now, I'm just playing with my camera.Oh, btw, that's Z playing "Jingle Bells," sorta. I bought piano books to start giving him lessons, something I swore I would never do this early, but I'm really tired of hearing "Jingle Bells." They should come in this week.

Love Bullets

  • I decided it'd be easier to chase around a baby with clippers than with scissor. That's how Ben got his haircut.

  • Ca was pretending to read one of Z's readers and actually read a couple of words. I decided to let him try to first page in the hooked on phonics book and he could read it! Not even three yet! He was really proud (and so was his momma)
  • Ben has been taking steps. We expect to be chasing him in no time.
  • In school, we've been learning about our solar system. I got some really good books at the library. I think I'm enjoying it as much or more than the kids.
  • Found some curtains left by previous owners that I had forgotten about. They were the same color that they had painted the entire house. I dyed them dark brown for Ben's room. Saved lots of money that way and look pretty good if I do say so myself.

  • For Valentines, I decided to make heart-shaped french toast. Kids thought they were great!
  • I'm still painting and painting and painting. I did the kitchen. At first, I was going to paint it turquoise like the dining room, but it was too much. BUT I found a way to bring the turquiose into the kitchen. Haha!

Has anyone every posted anything on there? I tried this last week and just got a bunch of spam. I was so disappointed! Any suggestions? I'm trying to sell a wedding dress - NWT. See, I was plannning on leaving my husband and run away with the mailman, but he bailed on me. No, I'm just kidding. The dress isn't mine. And our mailman is NOT handsome.

Baby Arrival

For those who hadn't heard, our friend Cathy had her baby yesterday. Joshua Andrew. Beautiful, full head of hair, little boy. Congratulations, Cathy!

Vday Shoot

A friend from church asked me to take pictures for them so they could send out vday cards. We're getting free babysitting out of the deal. Now, that's invaluable! There little boy smiles with his whole face. Here's a few of my favorites.
