In school, the boys and I have been learning about the heart & circulatory system. (yes, we are doing school in the summer - more relaxed about it, but gives us more freedom during school year). I traced their bodies on butcher paper, we colored/glued on lungs and heart. Then we added the veins and arteries. I told them they only had to do one leg, but both insisted on doing the whole body. I'm not sure how accurate our circulatory systems are, but I think they got the idea. They know the red is going to the body cells and the blue is headed back to the heart and lungs. They really had fun with the project and I only had to help them get started with each piece of yarn. Ben even taped on one piece of yarn on his. My only hope for him is that he knows blood runs through his whole body.

We also learned the different parts of blood and made this little treat. They can tell you all 4 parts and what they do. Isn't school fun?
