Last Monday/Tuesday, we finally had our new carpet put in. In February, we had a fireplace incident so our previous carpet was ruined. I wasn't so sure about this new carpet when they first layed it. It looked a lot different than I thought it would. For some stupid reason, we kept looking at our sample in the sunlight instead of our house lights as if our house is entirely illuminated by the sun. Plus, that square foot sample we had looked a lot different multiplied by 1,000. It's a short shag, neutral color, with lots of different colored specs in it. It's quite a bit darker than our last carpet. I love the way it feels on our feet and the specs and darker color hide lots of flaws (and the hair clips Ca was playing with). In the sun, it looks very neutral, but under the house lights, it has a purple hue. I think this is due to the purplely (yes, it's a word) brown specs. Plus our last carpet had a yellow tone, so I think when they first layed it, all I saw was purple. It's growing on me, now though. Our tile has more yellow tones, but I think it's ok. So here it is:

It looks very nice-I would suggest you have all your guests take their shoes off from now on hehehe
Well, it's still a very light color. Your other carpet was almost white. Had the fireplace incident not happened, something kid related would have, I think. This should hide a multitude of sins... I REALLY like it!
I don't see any purple. And man, your house looks bigger from the floor.
fancy.
I love it! Looks great.
