Update

  • Morning sickness seems to be getting better. I had a stomach bug about 2 weeks ago. It lasted for a week and 1/2. That mixed with morning sickness and two toddlers was just awful. One day, I could barely get out of bed.
  • I am wearing maternity clothes now. I will not be posting pictures of my growing belly. You just have to come see me if you're that interested.
  • New rule: Momma doesn't get up before 7am. If you want to get up and cry, go for it. I don't care if you cry for an hour, my feet aren't touching the carpet until 7am.
  • I so need a haircut. Problem? I've done everything above my shoulders and I refuse to grow out my hair. I'm bored. Need inspiration.
  • We need a van.
  • I keep getting conflicting info about when a child is big enough to sit in a booster seat. The kind with the high back, but uses a regular seatbelt. I've concluded that there are no Texas laws about it and it just is up to the manufacturer.
  • I'm so getting me so funky leggings to wear this winter. I found a knee-length jean skirt in my closet that I'm going to cut off to wear with them - assuming I can get them over my butt. I definitely will have to jimmy-rig the button.
  • Feel free to make fun.
  • I've been feeling the baby lately. :)
  • Tomorrow, my biggest baby is turning three. I'm so excited for him.

Let's Get Out - Postponed

Since I didn't get any for sures on tonight's girls night, I'm moving it to tomorrow, Sunday. Girls night wouldn't be too fun with one girl sitting drinking coffee all by her lonesome. So Sunday, 8:30 at Hastings. PS I will be wearing maternity clothes. I've given in to the bulge.

Let's Get Out!

I'm thinking Saturday night, 8:30pm, Hastings, coffee, girly magazines, and a girlfriend. Any takers? The plan is no good without the last part.

Train Track Photos

There are mainly pictures of Z because we were taking pictures for his upcoming birthday. I know there are only about 3 of you that will be interested in watching this, so for my mom and sisters, enjoy.

Ironic?

When I was about 6 months pregnant with Z, dh and I took a vacation to Mexico as our last opportunity to do so kid free. A majority of the pictures we took while there, I scrapbooked while pregnant with Ca (mostly during the first trimester). There is one page in particular that gave me trouble. I worked on it for so long, all through morning sickness, staring at myself pregnant. Bad combination. I still to this day, cannot look at this page without becoming nauseous. I got an offer to order free photo book that has to be redeemed this week in order to use it, and this book is the only book I've done that is "complete." (Since I do my books chronically, and I have pictures from each of those years that I have not scrapbooked, they are not "done". Probably never will be.) So here I am, pregnant again, working on these same pages I made while pregnant of me pregnant. Chances are, I'll never be able to look at this book after it's done without feeling sick. Such a waste. Ironic? or maybe I just need a better birth control method.

Excitement is Brewing

In this last week, a new business opportunity has come my way. It is seriously my dream job. I'm so excited that I've lost sleep and have spent way too many hours (for someone who is suppose to be watching her kids, anyway) online researching . I'm teaming up with someone I really enjoy, doing something I love, getting some extra income without having to hire sitters. What could be better? Finances have been hard lately with the market being in such bad shape and getting worse. And with baby #3 on the way, I'm not sure that I'm going to be able to continue teaching lessons next year. My mom and MIL would have to watch 3 little ones during my lessons. I do enjoy teaching, so I might have to keep a few. Nothing has been finalized with this new adventure, but I'll let you know when it is. So excited!!

Z's Spill

This morning, I heard Z in the bathroom turning the water foscet off and on. I went to check on him and found him in his bedroom, rubbing the fitted sheet covering his mattress with a wet cloth.

me: what are you doing?
Z: cleaning my bed?
me: Why, did you spill something?
Z: yeah
me: What did you spill?
Z: water

Playdate Thursday

I'm inviting everyone over on Thursday afternoon, 4pm, for a playdate. I'm thinking, butcher paper, crayons, and the dining table. Maybe some outdoor fun, too, if it stops raining. Come one, come all, even if I don't know you very well, you're invited. Meems and Ang have my phone number if you need to get my address. (sorry to put y'all on the spot).

C - to answer you question, I'm still feeling sick. Last week, I got sick at HEB. Luckily, my two year old toilet-curious child wanted to try out the bathrooms. I pushed him into a stall, set Ca down to do who-knows-what, and found my own stall. So glad we weren't stuck in the middle of the store. I'm hopeful that soon I'll be feeling better.

Anyone?

Does anyone have a piece of old luggage I can borrow? The kind with the hard cover. I need it for a prop.

Bugging Me

In my last post, you can't click on my favorite photo to see it better. Let's try that again . . .
Ahhh . . . it works.

Labor Day Weekend

This past weekend, we took a trip to the great city of Fort Worth for my sil's wedding. We had a few hours to spare (so I thought) and I was really wanting to take the opportunity to take pictures of the boys. We were close to downtown and decided to take some pictures down there. Got there, got the boys out of the car, in position, and there was no card in the camera. I was so disappointed. We ended up finding a Walmart and bought a new memory card, but the time had been wasted, and dh needed an emergency tux rental to "ush" properly at the wedding. For future reference, don't assume that your husband has made sure that someone has picked up his tux for him. Make him double check. And for future reference, you cannot find an emergency tux rental on Sunday. He ended up buying a suit, but it matched fine. The wedding was held in Azle at these beautiful gardens - my photo op was still in grasp. I got a few pictures, but I'm still convinced that I may never get very many good pictures of these boys at this age. They are just impossible models. Don't they know their momma's a scrapbooker and needs good pictures? Just look at the camera and smile!!This was right outside our hotel. See how close downtown was? Man, those would have been some cute pictures.

Daddy's funny!

The bride, groom, her son(s), and flowergirl.

This one is my favorite.

Dancing - he plays air guitar and jumps while he dances.

Chris with his new suit on. It was an open bar. No, I'm kidding. I don't think he had even one drink. I just caught him about to blink.Me with my new necklace. No one noticed. :(

We had to stay late at the wedding because I was suppose to cut the cake and they didn't even get to it until after 9pm. The next morning, we took the boys to Hurricane Harbor. With our coupon, our whole family got in for $16. But of course, with parking, locker, tube rentals - they really get you inside. It was a fun day, none the less. Ca was a little too tired from the night before to truely enjoy, but he did fall asleep for a little while. Mostly, we hung out at the kiddie park, but we went on the lazy river and the wave pool, too. Chris took Z down this huge slide. You ride on it in a double raft (no lap riders) and when I saw people coming out of it, flipping, I got really nervous. But Z rode in the back, hanging on to daddy's neck. No flipping. He survived.
