The tile that we had ordered that I posted before had come in and looked a lot different than the sample. We were so disappointed. Chris had planned a surprise for me - having the tile done while we were out of town. He never plans surprises for me, and I know that he was looking forward to my reaction when we got back. But we didn't like the tile we had ordered, so again we went tile shopping (not an easy task with a one and two year old) and found something we liked. Thurs, Fri, and Saturday, it was layed. We are totally happy with it and like it better than our original pick. It was a rough weekend, though. It was the last few days of Chris' vacation and between yanking up floor, and him staying at the house, while I took the kids to my moms, we hardly got to see him. Not much of a vacation for me, but I guess it bets laying tile.

We had the tile layed in our kitchen, dining room, foyer, laundry room, and inside our garage door. The dining room and hall outside our garage door were previously carpet. I'm glad we have tile there now. Cleaning up after dinner with little kids won't be such a pain, now. I'm really happy with it. With the tile being in both the kitchen and dining room, it makes the kitchen feel a little bigger. And I think this makes just more sense. Plus, we won't be tracking in dirt on carpet when we walk in through the garage. I will probably have to mop everyday or every other day, though. And Ca thinks it's fun to push the dining chairs across the floors. Not so fun for the rest of us. It's LOUD. Right now, where the carpet meets the tile, the edge of the carpet is unfinished. Ca thinks it's fun to eat it. We HAVE to get it recarpeted soon.
Z's sick again. I don't think I've blogged that much about it, but Z has been sick almost the entire winter. We'll have a month or so of the kids passing crud back and forth, they'll finally get over it, and a week later, it's back. He's been sick since Friday, but today, was the first day without fever. His cough sounds awful, though.
I know this must be a pretty boring post cuz even I don't want to reread it. Thanks for listening anyway.

The floor looks great. The vacation you just described sounds like most of our vacations. More like workcations than anything else.
Your floor looks very pretty. Everthing else I have to say about this post is very sarcastic and has to do with mothers getting a vacation. (I'm ticked off at my husband for making a remark about "having to go to work for 4 nights in a row" and "you can rest whenever you want to.")
That's so spiffy!!
Love your tile!
I was referring to the tile, by the way. The part about sick kids all winter- not so spiffy.
