Going Green . . .

. . . IN MY POCKET!!!

Target handbag, 2 seventh generation all-purpose cleaner, granola bars, panty liners, motrin pm, 3 reusable grocery bags, 2 ink cartridges refills, and a coke (not pictured) . . . .

Grand Total: $12.40.  Plus I used my target giftcard from last week so only paid $7.40.

How I did it:
     Target
Seventh Generation Cleaner on sale for $2.69
                + coupon for $1 off at Target.com
                + coupon at seventhgeneration.com for $1 off
                Total: $0.69 each
          Motrin = $3.99
                + coupon for $1 off at Target.com
+ coupon in paper for $3 off
                Total: FREE
Handbag = clearance for $5. There was a coupon for $5 off at Target.com, but I missed it!! Could have gotten it for free. I had been eyeing it for months and always crave a new bag at the beginning of the season. This was my "splurge."
     Walgreens
Kotex panty liners on sale for $3.49
+ Register Rewards return of $2.50 (dollars you can use in their store)
+ coupon from paper for $1 off
Total: $2.49 and $2.50 register reward ticket
Nature's Own Granola bars on sale for $1.99
+ coupon for $0.40 cents off
                   Total: $1.59
Reynolds Wrap Foil  - Coupon for $0.89
Bought panty liners first and used register rewards on granola bars, foil, and coke.
Ink Cartridges Refill - Coupons for $1 each on Earth Day (normally $13)
      HEB
Reusable Grocery Bags - FREE with any 5 plastic bag returns on Earth Day. Dh brought some and then I had the kids bring them, too. That's how we ended up with 3.

At CVS (not pictured) this week, I got 2 boxes of cereal, 4 gallons of milk, toothpaste, eyeshadow, lipliner, and mascara, for only $15 plus I got another $3 ticket to spend there, too. Full price for all that? I would have paid over $40!

So, I'm still at it. Clipping, printing, reading blogs and it's really ending up to being a lot of fun. My savings aren't shocking, but I'm doing pretty good for the first week. I'm sure as I learn more (and stay out of the accessory aisles) I'll get better.

I've never been very willing to go around to different stores to do all the coupon and money saving stuff. I admire you for doing it with all 3 boys!
