Flying . . .

Another Monday. Another day to kick my butt with my new schedule. I survived. I did it. Lord, have mercy.

This week for Flylady is Zone 2: Kitchen, "start from top to bottom." Today, I spent my 15 minutes cleaning on top of my cheerios-infested fridge, the cobwebs in the ceiling corners, and vaccuumed out the bugs in the light fixture. 15 minutes. It's all it took. I'm really excited about my progress. They are the simple things all over the house that bug me, but one by one, 15 minutes at a time, I'm taking them down. Tomorrow is the kitchen cabinet doors. It dawned on me that if I keep this up, all my windows will be cleaned every month or two. I honestly think I did that maybe once a year in our old house. Maybe. And that's probably an exaggeration. I'm now looking at my closets, bookcases, etc, and looking forward to when that zone will be done. Feels good to fly.

It does feel good to be on top of everything! I am wishing the men in my life (Paul the handyman and dh) would be as enthusiastic about getting my BR finished. They seem to have their own priorities, though. I'm trying to have a good attitude and not suceeding always.
